100% Restored 1955 RCA 45 Player Model 8-EY-31KE
 
Any 45 RPM record, stereo or mono, can be played on this unit.
This unit has both a volume & tone control.
 
This great playing 67 year old player has had the following work performed:
   -installed a new, ceramic cartridge with diamond needle for easy replacement and procurement.
   -cycling cam rubber replaced for smooth cycling;
   -idler wheel was replaced with a vintage replacement for smooth operation without rumble;
   -unit was completely disassembled, cleaned, oiled and greased;
   -the turntable and spindle were completely rebuilt;
   -all adjustments were returned to factory tolerances as per RP-190 Series Service Data booklet;
   -all 3 rubber vibration grommets for the motor were replaced & the motor rebuilt;
   -all three vibration grommets for the turntable assembly were replaced;
   -the A/C power cord plug was not replaced;
   -the 1/2 wave selenium rectifier was replaced with a 1N5408;
   -all capacitors in the amplifier have been replaced;
   -the 25L6GT amplifier tube was replaced;
   -a safe operating instruction sheet will be provided with this player.
NOTE: This unit only has one tube therefore it will not wake up the neighbors.  The sound is more than sufficient for play in any room in your home or apartment.  Without a record, turning up the volume to maximum will reveal a small amount of hum.  This nominal hum is normal and is due to the amplifier circuitry only having a 1/2 wave rectifier.  This unit sounds best when the top cover is closed.  Always ensure that the tonearm is detached from its lock before operating the unit.
 
   -The finish of the motorboard is in good condition;
   -the interior paper backing finish is fair.
          There is a lot of staining which would not clean off;
   -Review all photos for condition and cosmetics;
   -A needle/cartridge cushioned landing pad was installed to allow the needle to sit down on the felt pad
        in lieu of bouncing/scraping on the metal surface when there is no record on the turntable.
        (If you do not want the pad, simply peel it off of the deck and discard);
 
   -The case's exterior is in good condition without any major defects other than years of use.
        Please review the photos that illustrate the case's condition;
   -This unit plays and ejects 15 records.  15 records are the maximum records that the spindle can hold.

           Note:  If any of your records skip, it's the record.  Always reset the 45 player using the eject switch. 
                     DO NOT add pennies  Each penny adds a minimum of 2.5g of weight and will ruin the needle
                     as well as the record.
 
The 45 player should work properly when received.  You have 48 hours from when it is received
   to ensure that it works.                                                           
Refund Policy:
We will provide a full refund, less shipping, for mechanical or electrical problems experienced within 48 hours of receiving the unit.
Unit cosmetics are not covered and are "as is".  See photos for condition.
Buyer is responsible for checking the unit's operation upon arrival.  
We are not responsible for player problems after two (2) days.
Most player damage is due to uninformed and forced operation.  
Read the operational instructions for worry-free operation.
The Buyer will not receive a refund if the unit is damaged during the return shipping of the item to the Seller.
For a shipping damage refund to apply, the Buyer must report the damage and photographic evidence within 48 hours (two calendar days) of unit's delivery.
No Exceptions.  Photos shall include the damage to the unit as well as its packaging damage.
Untimely requests or insufficient photographic evidence will not receive a refund.
Refunds will be credited to the Buyer's PayPal account upon compliance with the policies above.
